eXtreme Pong takes the oldest video game rally and gives it a second axis of skill. Rotate your paddle to choose the angle of every return, collect effects that appear mid-match and fire them at the right moment.

Pillars

  • Easy to pick up: anyone who has seen Pong can play in seconds.
  • Expressive skill: rotation rewards timing, not luck.
  • Controlled chaos: effects change the rhythm of a rally, but never decide a point on their own.

How it plays

  • Play against the AI on Easy, Normal or Hard.
  • Mouse controls: move the mouse up and down to move the paddle, left and right to rotate it.
  • Effects spawn on the field and go to the inventory of whoever hit the ball last, like the power-up that makes your paddle giant.
  • A 3-2-1 countdown restarts play after every point.

Under the hood

  • Rigidbody2D physics with ball speed driven by impact force.
  • FIFO effect inventory with an activation cooldown.
  • Options for music and effects volume, resolution up to 4K, and window mode.
